West Indian Limes Cologne

West Indian Limes is not one of the better Truefitt & Hill fragrances, but it sure is a lot better than their awful Sandalwood cologne.  Unlike with Sandalwood, at least they named this appropriately: if it's lime you're looking for, then look no further than West Indian Limes Cologne.

This review is going to be short because there's little else than the smell of lime here.  It starts off rather sweet, like the smell of lime-flavored hard candy, but within minutes it fades to a light and very dry smell of lime peel.  The drydown kicks in within about twenty minutes of first putting it on, leaving a subtle trace of lime peel and very light musk.  The scent completely disappears within about two or three hours.  And that's it.

Does this fragrance smell good?  It's okay.  Granted, citrus notes by themselves don't typically last more than a few minutes, and lime is no exception.  However, I was hoping that this scent would contain more supporting notes to make it more interesting and long lasting.  Though it's a light fragrance, West Indian Limes Cologne is pretty crude for a citrus scent.  For a $75 bottle of cologne, I expect a lot more than this, so this one leaves me disappointed.
