Vision - Revised Review

This past weekend I brushed the dust off my bottle of Jaguar Vision and gave it another chance.  I'm glad I did because although it's not something I'm likely to wear much again, it's a much better fragrance than I thought it was when I wrote my prior review of it.

Basically, I now find Vision to be a moderately complex gourmand fragrance.  After the apple notes in the opening fade, Vision evolves into a rather sweet, caramellic, gourmand scent, though it never becomes heavy or overbearing.  I swear I can also smell a warm coffee note in there as well, along with a fruity fig-like note to lighten up the sweetness.  After a few hours, I can smell the patchouli creeping in, adding an aromatic touch to the scent.

For whatever reason, I didn't detect a lot of Vision's facets when I did my review the first time.  There's more complexity to this scent than I realized at that time.  Most reviews I've read say that Vision smells a lot like Aventus by Creed.  I've never smelled Aventus, so I have no idea if that's true.

Although this is a good fragrance, it's not my style at all.  Mainly, I find it much too sweet.  At age 42, I feel like I missed the boat in being able to wear this fragrance well.  I feel like Vision is much more suitable for a younger guy (late teens to late 20's), and would make a great nighttime scent to wear out at the clubs or at a party.  It's very sweet and it does have some freshness to it at the same time, but it's a little too hip for a guy like me to feel comfortable wearing.

MY RATING:  7.5/10

Fragrance House:  Jaguar
